Why Mundaring?

There’s a rich history behind the name of this hat, one that extends far back to Aboriginal times. The word was initially pronounced as “Mindah-lung” which means “a high place on a high place.” Over the centuries it was modified into what we now know as Mundaring, yet still retains that importance for many in the area. The site of the first Aussie Open in 2013 was in Mundaring at a course by the same name and was one of many labors of love by Dude founder Chris Finn. Stemming back to these original Dude roots seems only fitting for a hat that symbolizes how we are moving forward in years to come.
